Legacy Leaders Honour 40 Years of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥
This week marked a momentous milestone in the life of our school, as the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ community gathered to celebrate 40 years of excellence, growth and connection. The Legacy Leaders Event was a heartfelt tribute to the pioneers whose vision and commitment shaped what Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ is today, and a celebration of the remarkable journey we've taken together.
In a morning rich with memories and inspiration, former Headmasters Mr Bill Low and Mr Richard Lornie shared their reflections on decades of leadership, highlighting the values and spirit that have defined Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ through the years. Mr Richard Lornie spoke warmly of the energy and vibrancy of school life, reminding us that "knowing what you truly miss, informs us a great deal about what you truly value."
Attendees also had the opportunity to reflect on the school's history by viewing a special collection of photo collages. These images beautifully captured the early days of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ and gave everyone the chance to reminisce about where it all began.
One of the most touching moments of the morning came from the King family, whose deep-rooted connection to Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ spans generations. Jonathon and Lana King—Lana being 1993 Head Prefect—celebrated the legacy carried forward by their daughter, Annabelle King (2023 Head Prefect) and their son, Lachlan King, our current Head Prefect for 2025. A special feature video highlighting their Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ experience was shared, offering a glimpse into their family's enduring connection to the school.
The morning featured incredible performances from our newly introduced 2025 Dance Academy, Senior Choir and Senior Orchestra. Their artistry and passion showcased not only individual talent but the extraordinary development of our performing arts over the past four decades. In the words of former Headmaster Mr Bill Low, "Excellence is not a destination, but a journey."
As we reflect on 40 years of opportunity and achievement, we honour the founding figures whose dedication and leadership shaped the culture, community and commitment to excellence that defines Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ today.
